Alternative Payment Options for Pet Owners

To prepare for unexpected pet emergencies and medical costs, it might be helpful to consider alternative payment options. At Lakeland Animal Clinic, we’re happy to accept CareCredit and Scratchpay from our clients. We understand that difficulties can arise, and when they do, it helps to have a back-up plan! Take a moment to learn about these payment options below, and consider applying for one or the other if you think it would be best for you and your pet.

CareCredit allows you to break down your medical bills into smaller, manageable payments that you can make over the course of 6, 12, 18, or 24 months--whatever works better for you. It gives you a credit card with which you can pay for any expenses that are not covered by insurance, with no interest charged on purchases of $200 or more with all minimum monthly payments made on time.

Scratchpay is a little bit different from CareCredit. You do not receive a credit card; rather, it gives you the option of breaking down your pet’s medical bill into 5 payments bi-weekly, 12 monthly payments for a year, or 24 monthly payments for 2 years. There’s no credit card, and there will be no effect on your credit score when checking your payment plan.
